IFCA is a national-scale design competition that emphasizes the vision of sustainability. Through this competition, it is expected to discover young designers who are committed to environmental preservation, social responsibility, and maintaining the sustainability of businesses, particularly in the craft and fashion industries.
To support the development of new entrepreneurs in the creative industries of craft and fashion, the Center for Fashion and Craft Industry Empowerment/Bali Creative Industry Center (BPIFK/BCIC) implements the Creative Business Incubator (CBI) program. This program focuses on fostering an entrepreneurial mindset to enhance business capacity and scale through the delivery of materials, field assignments, evaluations, and business pitching sessions involving competent academics and practitioners. The CBI program serves as a platform to cultivate professional and independent entrepreneurs who can significantly contribute to the growth of the creative industries in Indonesia.
The Design Lab program is an initiative aimed at fostering collaboration between designers and SMEs in industrial clusters, particularly in the fashion and craft sectors. Through this collaboration, the program seeks to achieve its goals of building an industrial ecosystem within SME clusters and enhancing market-based business value-added.
About Us
To promote the role of the creative industry, particularly in the fashion and craft subsectors, the Ministry of Industry issued Minister of Industry Decree No. 146/M-IND/Kep/3/2014, which initiated the establishment of the Bali Creative Industry Center (BCIC). In 2024, through Minister of Industry Regulation No. 2 of 2024 on the Organization and Work Procedures of Technical Implementation Units within the Directorate General of Small, Medium, and Miscellaneous Industries, the Ministry of Industry officially designated the Bali Creative Industry Center (BCIC) as an independent Technical Implementation Unit under the name Center for Fashion and Creative Industry Empowerment (BPIFK).
In line with its roles and functions, BPIFK/BCIC serves as a platform for SME players in the fashion and craft industries to grow their businesses through the concept of "meet-share-collaborate." This platform enables stakeholders to connect, share experiences and creative ideas, and collaborate to create works that significantly contribute to the added value of the creative economy. The three main programs of BPIFK/BCIC are Creative Business Incubator, Indonesia Fashion and Craft Awards (IFCA), and Design Lab.
